In 1982, I took the SCT plunge. I had the CT-100 and a 17.5" Dob, but I wanted the portability afforded by this scope. Recently, it has become my scope of choice for use at public stargazes. When an f/3.3 focal reducer/field flatener is installed, it becomes a very fast system for use with my MallinCam Video CCD Cameras. In this picture, a young girl is seen looking at the moon on the monitor at the Abita Middle School Stargaze.
